With 25 years of teaching experience from Kindergarten to Grade 10, I am passionate about helping children become confident, capable readers and writers. As a literacy specialist, I draw on my knowledge of the Science of Reading, Orton-Gillingham approaches, and Montessori learning to provide engaging, individualized instruction. My tutoring sessions are fun, supportive, and filled with games and hands-on activities—with every activity having an educational purpose. Children build the essential literacy skills they need, including phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing, while developing confidence in their own abilities. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while giving each child the strong literacy foundation they need to grow and succeed.
