Communication is the modality which enables ideas, feelings, and context to be shared. To be heard and understood our communication must express our thoughts clearly, honestly and persuasively. Through written or visual means, I am here to help you access the tools you need to express yourself! As a writing tutor, I help students learn the skills necessary to distil large amounts of information down into clear and succinct arguments. I teach APA formatted scientific writing, and the fundamentals of essay writing for high school students. Additionally, I guide students through the process of research for scientific writing, including database search (google scholar, pubmed etc), and analyzing text sources. As a visual arts teacher, I teach the fundamentals of drawing and painting to help students clearly communicate their vision. Additionally, I work with students on the practice of nurturing their creativity and finding the playfulness in artistic expression. I am a Master of Counselling Psychology student and hold a BA in psychology from the University of Calgary.
