Glad you're here! I'm a teacher specializing in upper elementary and middle school with a degree in English Language Arts and Creative Writing (and Education, of course). I completed my degree in Calgary, worked in Toronto, and now live in British Columbia on the island so I'm familiar with a range of curriculums. In terms of tutoring, I bring: - Patience, I've got it in spades - Humour, learning is fun, I'll prove it - Creativity, I love to write, play DND, improv, and apply all of those skills to our academics - Flexibility, I have a wide range of hours to play around with including later evening sessions (after my 3 year old has deemed the night worthy of sleep) Areas of Expertise - K-8 Math - K-12 English Language Arts - K-8 Science - K-8 Social - Specifically great at identifying gaps in learning and building up foundational skills About Me - I'm a writer with several published short stories, a handful of haiku, and novels somehow forever in progress (one day, we'll get there) - I play DND online and have hosted a few campaigns - I enjoy playing videogames; a few favourites include Pokemon (specifically Legends of Arceus), Vampire Survivor, Slay the Spire, Animal Crossing…
